Whisky’s opened in June 1984. We are located in the historic district of Lawrenceburg known as Newtown.

Two carefully restored buildings were connected by the entrance foyer. One building dates from circa 1850 and the other circa 1835. Rumor has it that the orginal building, where our dining room is now, was once a button factory. The backbar in the formal dining room is the orginal. We left it in place and built a replica in the new bar.

We picked the name “Whisky’s” after Lawrenceburg’s nickname “Whiskey City” referring to the home of Seagrams and Schenley.
